All GPs at Blackburn Clinic can refer eligible patients (with iron deficiency anaemia) for on-site infusion. Dr Kong, Dr Ashdown, Dr Rametta and Dr Azzollini perform these appointments but all Blackburn Clinic GPs can authorise the service for their patients where medically appropriate. This model offers considerable savings compared to the traditional day-surgery model (current out of pocket cost after rebates are around $290, or $155 for Concession patients).
